Sandie Weeks-Gibbard
Clinical Director
BVSc CertAVP MRCVSSandie is a local farmer’s daughter and has worked as a vet locally for 32 years. She enjoys all aspects of her work but particularly soft tissue surgery and dentistry. She has gained her GP certificate in Small Animal Practice (GPCertSAP). Sandie has recently taken over the role of Clinical Director and aims to continue providing a quality veterinary surgery here in Bromyard.
At home, Sandie enjoys spending time with her family and friends, plays badminton and croquet and loves both gardening and baking. Her current dog is a Cocker Spaniel cross who enjoys minding the chickens and ducklings and can run like the wind!

Catherine Dowson
Practice Manager / Veterinary Surgeon
BVetMed MBA MRCVSCatherine joined Bromyard Vets as Practice Manager and Veterinary Surgeon in early 2019 shortly after completing her MBA. Catherine became interested in practice management to make a positive difference to the team as well as to pets and their owners and loves seeing the continual improvements that are made at Bromyard Vets. Outside of work Catherine likes exploring the local area and spending time with loved ones. She is pictured here with her handsome animal companion called Dash.

Katie Fryer
Veterinary Surgeon
MA VetMB FCert (E&CC) MRCVSKatie joined Bromyard vets in 2019. She graduated from Cambridge University in 2016, since then she has worked in companion animal practice. Katie enjoys all aspects of general practice, with a particular interest in diagnostic imaging and microscopy. In 2022 she achieved an additional qualification in Emergency and Critical Care (FCert(E&CC)). In her spare time Katie enjoys gardening, baking and spending time with her much loved pets.

Monika Mirando
Veterinary Surgeon
DVM MRCVSMonika joined Bromyard Vets in May 2020 after having previously worked as deputy clinical director in a very busy small animal hospital in West Midlands. Monika is passionate about internal medicine, ultrasonography and soft tissue surgery. Outside of veterinary medicine, she loves the countryside, the Great Outdoors, off-road motor-sports, Great Danes, she can frequently be seen at our local Red Marley Hill Climb. Most importantly, she enjoys taking her little daughter on all sorts of adventures and spending quality time together.

Philippa Pound
Nurse Manager
BSc (Hons) DipVN RVNPip joined Bromyard Vets in 2017 and has various interests including dentals, diabetic nursing and imaging. Pip has a particular interest in Emergency and Critical Care and will soon be working towards a certificate in this area. She also enjoys being a clinical coach to the student nurses. Outside of work Pip has a young family, three dogs and a horse. She also enjoys hiking and helping on her parents livestock farm.

Deputy Nurse Manager

Jodie joined Bromyard Vets in 2012, qualifying as an RVN in 2015, then later becoming deputy nurse manager. She has a keen interest in nurse clinics, enjoying getting to know her patients. She also enjoys lab work and inpatient care. Outside of work Jodie is kept busy with her two young children, enjoying walking with family and friends.

Sally Worthing
Registered Veterinary Nurse
DipAVN (Surg) RVNSally qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 1993 and gained her Surgical Diploma in 1998. She has been at Bromyard Vets since 2015, initially to cover maternity leave but is still here! In practice Sally is also a clinical coach for Student Nurses. She enjoys nurse clinics and has a special interest in geriatrics and rehabilitation. In her spare time, she enjoys walking her 3 dogs and exploring in her campervan.

Francesca Withnell
Registered Veterinary Nurse
BSc Hons DipVN RVNFrancesca started working at Bromyard in 2015 and has been a Registered Veterinary Nurse since 2018. She enjoys anaesthesia, particularly orthopaedics, medical nursing and lab work. She has a particular soft spot for the geriatric patients. Francesca has recently returned to practice after taking maternity leave and has her hands full at home with a young child and a boisterous springer spaniel. In her spare time, Francesca enjoys hiking, particularly the Pembrokeshire coastal path and rock climbing.

Nadia joined our team in February 2017 as a part-time receptionist covering Saturdays. She now works full time with us whilst training to become a Veterinary Nurse. When not working she loves spending time with her family, being in the gym and looking after her many cats and dogs.

Chloe Badham
Receptionist
Chloe joined Bromyard Vets in June 2022 when she was on placement with us to gain practical skills while working towards her veterinary nursing degree with Hartpury University. Since completing her placement with us, Chloe has stayed with us to work as one of our fantastic receptionists whilst continuing to learn from our experienced team of nurses. Outside of work she enjoys keeping fit and horse riding.

Administration Assistant
RVRMichelle has been at Bromyard Vets since 2016. She previously worked within agricultural supplies. Starting out as receptionist, she is now responsible for the practice accounting and managing the healthcare plan. Outside of work Michelle enjoys farming, working her dogs and spending time with her family. Michelle has completed her gold standard veterinary receptionist award.
